JG Ingenieros has provided the global architectural and engineering service in the design of the new headquarters of the Juaneda Hospital in Menorca.
It is a new building on a 6,400 m2 plot in the municipality of Ciutadella. The volume is made up of 1 basement floor and two floors above ground level.
The basement floor houses the installation rooms, staff changing rooms, a warehouse and other general services, as well as the pharmacy and laboratory services. On the ground floor there is a main access area and a waiting area, administrative offices, an emergency unit with independent access, a consultation area, next to the main access, a diagnostic imaging unit, a technical area with 2 operating rooms and a neonatology unit, as well as support areas such as sterilization and a morgue. On the first floor there are the ICU and hospitalization units.
